When a criminal is first enslaved, one of the many things he must endure is an extensive background interview.  The purpose of this interview is to discover any special skills or experience the slave might have.  It is in the slave’s best interest to give as complete a history as he can.  The more special skills a slave has the more money he will bring at auction, and the more an owner pays for a slave the better that slave is likely to be treated.  Turns out that Chris, here, took a sewing class when he lost a bet with his girlfriend.  He was bought at auction by an up and coming fashion designer.
